I have wanted to be a professional pilot since I was 5 years old. I was told all my life that pilots have to have high level degrees or be former military pilots, so I did not pursue this dream until my sophomore year of college. One day in class, my professor said “Would the 1st grade version of yourself be happy with where you are now?” That stuck with me and the next week I started taking lessons at my local flight school. After that semester of college ended, I withdrew from college and went to a flight school in Charlotte, NC. From there, I completed my private-commercial multi engine ratings and flight instructor certificates. Now, I am the lead flight instructor for RiseAero and pride myself in what we have accomplished.
